Each year our Tennessee District collects and donates between 500-700 used printer toner cartridges to an organization based out of Chattanooga, TN called: FACES: The National Craniofacial Association. This organization supports children born with cranio-facial abnormalities and their families who are financially unable to take their child to major medical centers where specialized craniofacial teams provide the safest and most advanced treatments for building a face and skull. There is never a charge for any service provided by FACES, including travel, lodging, and food that is associated with a family being away from their home.
By participating in the FACES’, “Trash to Cash” donation program, our entire district donates used toner cartridges, which are then recycled and turned into cash for the children and families they support! This project is so important to our district, and we are steadfast in our commitment to donate all of our empty toner cartridges that we collect throughout the year. It’s such an easy way for us to give our support and also recycle our used cartridges. We look forward to our “donation day” each year and in helping children receive the medical care they so desperately need.
