On October 13, 2016, I had the distinct honor to present my District Director of Operations, Shawn Robison, with the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) Patriot Award.
I’m currently serving in the Army National Guard and Shawn, along with this Company, have been very supportive. I wanted to recognize Shawn as a way of thanking him for always being respectful, encouraging, and understanding of my military commitment.
The ESGR works to develop and promote supportive work environments for Service members in the Reserve Components. The Patriot Award reflects the efforts made to support citizen soldiers through a wide-range of measures including flexible schedules, time off prior to and after deployment, caring for families, and granting leaves of absence if needed.
I’m so fortunate to work for a Company and a supervisor that values my service to our Country!
